European Roadmap 21 – 25 February 17

To mark the Reformation anniversary, the German Lutheran Church (EKD) has launched an ambitious project: a “European Stationenweg” starting in November 2016 and leading up to the actual anniversary in October of 2017. Across Europe from Turku in the North to Rome in the South, the Reformation has left many footprints over the last 500 years. The tour on the occasion will open our eyes to Reformation changes then and now, since Reformation is not a closed process.  Its traces in many contexts since then will be reflected in the European Roadmap at the 68 way-stations in 19 countries – where ecumenical partners will stage events in connection with the local Reformation history.  The stories collected will be brought to Wittenberg for the World Reformation Exhibition on 20 May 2017. In February 2017, the story mobile will stop over at four cities in Ireland and Britain: Dublin, Liverpool, Cambridge and London – in partnership with the local Lutheran congregation and Church of England.
