Dr Chris Thomson, our eldest son, is treasurer at St Etheldreda’s Church, West Halton – where the great saint landed on her way south to found Ely Abbey, now the Cathedral where I worship as Bishop of Huntingdon. It’s a lovely coincidence. Chris is a computer scientist and runs a little 3-D printer in his garage. This year he’s delighting the congregation at the tiny church with a printed nativity, complete with colour-changing angels. Brilliant! And is it a first for the C of E?
