Children’s Ministry – a brand new training module



Open to everyone including those who wish to become Authorised Lay Ministers and those who may like some update training

The Children’s Ministry training course has been revised and restructured for 2016

The main aim of this course is to provide a series of spotlights which highlight different aspects of children’s ministry and will enable the delegate to confidently approach a variety of tasks in their local area with a range of skills, techniques and resources to draw on.

The training will consist of seven sessions in total (all seven sessions must be attended if you wish to be authorised as an Authorised Lay Minister)

Saturday 27th February: Childhood Past and Present and Current Theology

Saturday 12th March: Everyone Loves a Good Story and Child Development

Saturday 7th May: Learning Styles, Multi-Sensory Learning and Creative Prayer

Saturday 21st May: Welcome, Hospitality and Evangelism

Saturday 18th June: Joining the Dots; a Faith for Life

The above sessions will be led by Debbie Hill, Children’s Adviser and Messy Church Regional Co-ordinator for Cambridgeshire. They will take place at the Diocesan Offices, Bishop Woodford House CB7 4DX

Wednesday 20th April: Leading Collective Worship led by Ronni Lamont, an all-day training session at
