Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund: Fund open for applications

The Listed Places of Worship Roof Repair Fund is now open for applications again. This is the second round of government funding and there is £25 million available for allocation.

Earlier this year ten churches within the Ely Diocese were awarded £428,000 between them from the first round of the Fund and we are hopeful of achieving at least the same again in this round if not more.

Applicants are advised that the closing date for applications will be Friday 26 February at 12 noon.

Under the scheme, organisations of all faiths and denominations that are responsible for a listed place of worship can apply for grants from £10,000 up to £100,000 for urgent repairs to roofs and rainwater disposal systems across the UK.

For more information about the scheme and for how to apply, please go to the website:

The fund now has a dedicated Grants Officer for each region – Emmelia Booth is the Grants Officer for the East of England and is the first point of contact for any interested applicants from Ely Diocese and many of you will have met her at the information seminars recently held in the Diocese.

Emmelia is available on 02920 234 153 or you can call the general enquiry line on 01392 223 979 (with full contact details below)
