When the lost sheep becomes more than a story

I heard about a school yesterday. The key Bible passage for its vision was the story of the Lost Sheep. So? What took my breath away was hearing how that story was alive for them today. Their catchment area is tragically marked by child trafficking. And the staff really do count their children out on a Friday afternoon and count them in again on Monday, mourning (and acting) when one is lost, and rejoicing when they are found. Now that’s a “church school”.
