In his 2015 Budget speech to the House of Commons on 18 March, the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced a further £40million to the Listed Places of Worship: Roof Repair Fund. This new money brings the total funding package made available to £55million. Read more on our website.
James Knowles has been asked by the Centenary Planning Group to collate all the documents and photographs of the Centenary events. Diocesan Intercession List
The April intercession list is now available on the Diocesan website. Many thanks to those who responded to the request for your thoughts and help in producing these intercession lists. Home for Good
Home for Good were featured on Songs of Praise on Mothering Sunday, explaining how they have formed as a national Christian charity to promote the need for more foster carers and adopters. In Suffolk, a local movement called ‘Home for Good: Suffolk’ has formed. All churches can get involved through promoting events, signposting, prayer or offering their venues to run information events or support groups. Presence at Easter, Ipswich Cornhill on Saturday 28 March, 10.00am-4.00pm.
Presence is a group of Christians from around Ipswich aiming to be a creative response to the spiritual needs of the town centre. This Easter they will be blessing people with chocolate eggs and asking passers-by ‘what is the life you dream of?’ With their responses they will create a multi-coloured cross of dreams and offer to pray for people.
