Art Challenge: Ely

Ely Across Dean's Meadow Ely Cathedral through the trees

Back nearer home. When we’re in Ely our usual constitutional takes us right round the Cathedral precincts, and there are some great views to be had – though it’s not easy to avoid just the same pictures as everyone else will have taken. Here are two attempts, both with quite a bit of work on them afterwards to make them just a bit more different.

Why not enter our Suffolk Show Photography Competition? http://www.stedmundsbury.anglican.org/index.cfm?page=landf.content&cmid=422

  1. Dear Bishop David

This isn’t part of the photographic competition, but I thought you might like to see my own pen and wash of the terracotta wall of the old Bishop’s Palace, opposite the Cathedral.

    God bless Liz (Wells)
