Get out of Jail – for real

Ch Thomson Fleet discharge 1840 has just uploaded some of the records of the Fleet Prison in London, where insolvent debtors languished in the days before the Bankrutpcy Act. Like my 3-greats grandfather Charles. Happily in 1813 a Court of Relief was established which could order their discharge, and here he is on 12 June 1842 entered in the prison’s Discharge Book and being let on surety. He was back in later, being let out again in 1842, and there the trail goes cold for the moment. I wonder what happened to him?
